Former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson has announced that he is engaging Director Spike Lee on his new one-man show ‘Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth’.

The ‘raw’ and ‘filthy’ show according to Tyson will feature the high and low times of the boxer’s life. The show will include tales about his stormy marriage to actress Robin Givens, his time in prison, his relationship with his trainer and surrogate father, Cus D’Amato, and the time he spent in a psychiatric clinic as a result of his addiction to cocaine. One story sure to return is one in which he spotted Givens returning to her home in his car with Brad Pitt.

‘I’m very vulnerable and I’m just telling you who i am and where I’m from and how this happened’ Tyson told newsmen.

At 20 years he became the youngest winner ever to receive the heavyweight champion title and since then his life has being faced with so many controversies.

Now 46, Tyson said he was inspired to do a one-man show after watching Chazz Palminteri telling stories about growing up in his show, A BRONX TALE‘. ‘I’m just excited about this genre here.

The show will be staged in Longacre Theatre for six nights from Tuesday, June 31 to Sunday, August 5, 2012.
