Jessica Redfield aka Jessica Ghawi is apparently one of the victims killed in this mornings Denver shootings. The news came from a tweet by the Green Men, Vancouver Canucks super fans. Their tweet early Friday moring said "We knew one of the victims. RIP @JessicaRedfield."

A tweet from her brother, a short time later indicated that Jessica had been critically wounded.
"Well this could easily be the worst night of my life. It appears that my sister has been fatally wounded in a mass shooting at a movie premiere in Denver, CO."
Her parents told a local radio station in her home state of Texas that she was among those killed. They have also confirmed her death to local Colorado media.
Jessica survived the Eaton Centre shooting in Toronto, where 2 people were killed and six others injured. That incident ocurred on June 2nd. She wrote about her experience of that event in her blog.
"Ghawi’s chilling final blog post entitled “Late Night Thoughts on the Eaton Center Shooting,” was a reflection on the shooting at Toronto’s Eaton Center in early June and its impact on her life. Ghawi was present at the scene of that event, but wrote that an “odd feeling” led her to “go outside and unknowingly out of harm’s way” before the shooter opened fire.
More from that post:
“I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given.
“I feel like I am overreacting about what I experienced. But I can’t help but be thankful for whatever caused me to make the choices that I made that day. My mind keeps replaying what I saw over in my head. I hope the victims make a full recovery. I wish I could shake this odd feeling from my chest. The feeling that’s reminding me how blessed I am. The same feeling that made me leave the Eaton Center. The feeling that may have potentially saved my life.” Source: Mashable.com"
