FBI: Sikh temple terrorist Michael Page died of self-inflicted gunshot wound

ATLANTA--
CBS News and the Associated Press have both issued reports within the last hour stating that the FBI believes that Wade Michael Page, the suspected white supremacist who murdered 6 people in what is being called the Sikh Gurdwara Massacre, killed himself at the scene.
It is not clear whether the FBI's statement comes as the result of an autopsy or other preliminary findings. Whatever the case, authorities say Michael Page shot himself in the head before being shot in the stomach by another officer.
Apparently, previous reports suggested that Michael Page had been downed by responding officer Sam Lenda.
Reports say that authorities are still searching for a motive behind this atrocity. A motive, for a suspected white supremacist to wantonly murder a group of religious and cultural "others".
The Sikh community, understandably is in shock. As should anyone who's familiar with the faith would be. A primary tenet of Sikhism, a relative of Hinduism, is the belief that all humans share a sacred spiritual bond.
"We just want to get to the bottom of what motivated him to do it," said Amardeep Singh, an executive with the New York-based Sikh Coalition. "It's important to acknowledge why they lost their lives."
