Manchester United Transfer News: Is Nani on His Way to Real Madrid?

Manchester United winger Nani could be the subject of a surprise move by Spanish champions Real Madrid over the summer transfer window.

According to latest reports, the 25-year-old is believed to be on the outer at Old Trafford and could be the subject of a £20 million move by Real Madrid.

Per Talksport:

Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a surprise move for Manchester United winger Nani. Nani, whose contract expires in 2014, has yet to agree to a deal at Old Trafford, despite Manchester United's desire to extent his stay at the club.

And according to protransfers.ru, Real Madrid are poised to capitalize on Nani's failure to agree to a new contract by testing United's resolve with a £19.7 million offer for the 25-year-old.

The Spanish champions believe their proposal could be boosted by the fact that Nani's agent Jorge Mendes also represents Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernabeu boss Jose Mourinho.

After a strong showing last season for the Red Devils, Nani's place in the first-team at United is under serious threat from the likes of Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia, who are likely to compete with the 25-year-old for a starting place on the wings, thanks to the addition of Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund.
