FAAN, Arik trade words over teenager’s stowaway

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, yesterday, asked  the management of Arik Airlines to accept responsibility for the teenager that stowed away on it’s aircraft rather than put the whole blame on FAAN.
The management of Arik Airlines had earlier said that it was surprised at the incident wondering how the teenager beat the Aviation Security personnel at the Benin Airport to get to the runway.
General Manager, Corporate Communications, FAAN, Mr. Yakubu Dati, said that Arik Airlines’ accusation was unfair to FAAN stressing that the airline took no responsibility whatsoever for such a serious security breach.
